Lightning McQueen

In a little town called Radiator springs lives Lightning McQueen  and his best friend Tow Mater.  They love to hang out together, and cause lots of trouble. Their favourite thing to do is tractor tiping.  Using  their noisy horns or engines to tip tractors over.

Lightning McQueen is a bright, red rookie, his shiny, blinding stickers are really precious to him.  He loves his Black Lightyear tyres,  they extremely stand out when he races.

Lightning McQueen  races in the Piston Cup. He is really concentrated before his race, he always has a bright smile on his face.  He likes to show off to Sally and he likes to impress her.  He badly wants to win the Piston cup.

McQueen has a very handy truck driver Mac, he sleeps in his flash Rust-eze oil car trailer.   Lightning McQueen  is my favourite race car.

This year I am in Room 6 again

My hopes and Dreams are ... To have fun , To work hard , Play lots of sports , Try lots of new/different things , Participate in school activities etc: camp manual and trips , don't give up and make lots of friends.

Cultural Festival

On Wednesday night at 7o,clock Burnham School performed at the Cultural Festival in the CBS Arena.

We were the first school to perform. Once we got on stage I was so excited to perform our haka.

First we sang Toiami then at a certain time the boys went through the girls with our Toiami haka.

We went through it twice. Then the senior boys performed their haka. I gave it all I had in my little heart.

Then we sang Ma Te Kaukura and Ete Hokuwhitu and then walked of stage.

Planet Aussie sucks

One mysterious morning I woke up alone on a very strange planet. I wondered were the heck I was, until I saw a sign, it said : welcome to planet Aussie sucks, I really liked that name because I was wearing my Allblacks jersey. When suddenly I saw lots of kids from the future wearing these weird
Allblacks jersey's, they were black and white as usual, but they were very colourful. Later on I went to explore the planet I went for a walk in the forest, and I heared talking tree's talking about Australia, oh Yeah I forgot to tell you I met the headmaster of the planet and he spoke everyone had to talk about the Allblacks so I headed to the headmaster's office I went over a bridge over a waterfall. I told the headmaster about the tree's. The next day later the headmaster kicked the tree's out and there was no more Australia ever to be told. The headmaster me a portal so I transferred myself to bed.

My material feather

How i made my feather

1. First I chose two country's ( Wales and Philippines ) .
2. Next I translated my designs on to a cardboard feather and wrote we can fly in the country's language.
3. After that I carefully copied my cardboard design on to a material feather.
4. Then I coloured my design with sharpies.
5. Then I darkened up my outline and my writing with a black sharpie.
6. Finally my feather gets cut out and stuck on to our bird-man kite.
